Hydrographic surveyor

Braveheart Marine specializes in hydrographic activities and prides itself on being a flexible company. With a fleet of approximately ten vessels equipped with hydrographic equipment, we charter out to clients from the (inter)national dredging and offshore industry. Following the recent expansion of our fleet, we are now hiring a Survey Engineer for our 73-meter-long MV Braveheart Spirit.

As the Survey Engineer on board, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and operating the hydrographic sensors onboard. You will work with multi-beam echosounders, ultra-short baseline systems, side-scan sonar, motion reference units, GNSS receivers, and other survey equipment. You will also be responsible for collecting data and ensuring client satisfaction by working efficiently with the crew.

What we require:

  • Technical bachelor
  • Experience in similar work with a minimum of 3 years 
  • Operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining survey equipment will be the main job 
  • Coordinate between the survey client on board and the office 
  • A high standard is kept in your work and administration (i.e., QHSE)
  • Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken
